Care Instructions
Care Instructions
Caring for Cotton Items:
1. Cotton is a durable fabric that can generally tolerate the agitation of being machine washed and dried with no ill effects. Any items with special decorations like sequins or screen printing will require special care though.
2. For best results, machine wash cotton items in cold or warm water. Do not use hot water as it may shrink the cotton.
3. Use a normal wash cycle and regular detergent (with color safe bleach if desired).
4. Tumble dry on a low setting, then promptly remove the item from the dryer to avoid wrinkles.
5. Use an iron to remove wrinkles. Adding a spray starch will revive the crispness of cotton fabrics.
Caring for Viscose Items:
1. Wash your garments in cold water with a gentle detergent to avoid damaging the fabric’s fibres.
2. To avoid shrinking, do not tumble dry. Viscose doesn’t retain moisture and will dry reasonably quickly without a stint in the dryer.
3. Shake your garments out when wet and stretch slightly along the hems and sleeves to maintain shape – you can do this by laying the item on a flat surface or letting it dry on a hanger.
4. To reduce creases, we recommend steaming your viscose garments. If you find they’ve gotten a touch smaller, the warm steam will bring them back to shape as viscose grows with heat.
Caring for Lacoste Items:
1. Machine washLacoste Fabric is compatible with your usual detergent, machine wash it with your daily laundry.
- Before wearing it for the first time and for all future washes, choose a short, daily cycle at 30°
- Don’t add any fabric softener, it won’t give any suppleness to your item and can even damage the fibres.
- Forget hand washing that doesn’t allow for precise control of temperature, washing time or detergent concentration and risks damaging your item.
2. Easy drying
- Place your item, over a clothesline or a drying rack.- To gain time in ironing, dry your item on a hanger.
- Avoid clothes pegs that can stretch, deform or mark the item of clothing.
- Your item does not appreciate machine drying.
3. Delicate ironing
- By following the above drying advice, you shouldn’t need to iron your item.
- Use your iron on a low to medium heat (cotton, wool and viscose).
- Iron your item shirt inside out to limit any potential white traces.
